Sub-chapters are nonprofit organizations that operate under a parent organization’s EIN and 501(c)(3) registration. Since sub-chapters do not have individual IRS registrations, their registration process in the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal differs from standard nonprofit registration.
How to Register as a Sub-Chapter
Step 1: Begin the Registration Process
- Go to the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal Registration Page.
- Under the EIN entry box, click the link that says:
"Are you a sub-chapter of a parent organization or a fiscally sponsored organization? Click here."
Step 2: Submit Sub-Chapter Details
- Complete the Sub-Chapter Registration Form, including:
- Parent Organization Name & EIN
- Sub-Chapter Name
- Mailing Address
- Primary Contact Information (Name, Email, Phone)
- Additional documentation (if required for verification)
- Click Submit to send your request to the Givinga Foundation team for review.
Step 3: Verification & Approval
- The Givinga Foundation team will review your request to confirm eligibility and parent organization details.
- If additional information is needed, you will be contacted for clarification.
- Once approved, you will receive an email invitation to access the Nonprofit Portal.
Step 4: Complete Account Setup
- Follow the link in your email invitation to set a password.
- Log in to the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal.
- Complete any required identity verification steps for full access.
