Before your nonprofit can use the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal to manage your nonprofit’s profile, view reports, and enroll in e-payments, someone from your nonprofit must claim your nonprofit in the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal. Claiming your nonprofit is a one-time process that confirms the person registering is authorized to act on behalf of your nonprofit.
Which nonprofits can be claimed in the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal?
Any nonprofit listed in the Givinga Foundation database can be claimed in the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal. Each nonprofit can be claimed only once. After a nonprofit is claimed, the Admin user(s) at that nonprofit manage access for everyone else at the nonprofit.
How to claim your nonprofit in the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal
To claim your nonprofit, you need your nonprofit’s EIN (Employer Identification Number), the 9-digit tax identification number the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) assigns to your nonprofit. You can enter the EIN with or without a dash, for example 12-3456789 or 123456789.

What happens after I claim my nonprofit?

Until you complete identity verification, you have limited access. You cannot view donation or disbursement data, manage users, update your nonprofit’s profile, or access financial settings. After you complete identity verification, you have full Admin access to the Givinga Foundation Nonprofit Portal.
