As an Admin, you can manage who has access to your nonprofit’s portal. Keeping your user list updated ensures that only the right people have access to your nonprofit’s settings and data.
Adding a New User
- Navigate to "Manage Users" in the left navigation panel.
- Click the "Add User" button in the top-right corner.
- Enter the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
- Select their role:
- Admin Access: Full permissions, including managing users, payments, and reports. Admins must complete Identity Verification before gaining full access.
- Viewer Access: Read-only access to reports and organization details. No identity verification is required.
- Click "Send Invite": The user will receive an email invitation to join.
Note: New Admins must complete Identity Verification upon accepting the invitation before accessing all portal features.
Managing Existing Users
Editing a User’s Information
- Click the three-dot menu next to the user’s name.
- Select "Edit User".
- You can update the following:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Role (Admin, Viewer)
- Click "Save Changes" to confirm updates.
Note: Email addresses cannot be changed directly. To update an email, contact support@givingafoundation.org.
Deactivating a User
- Click the three-dot menu next to the user’s name.
- Select "Deactivate". This removes their access to the portal.
- Confirm by clicking "Deactivate Account".
- The user’s status will change to Inactive.
Note: Once deactivated, users lose access but can be reactivated later if needed.
Resending a User Invitation
If a user needs a new invite:
- Click the three-dot menu next to their name.
- Select "Resend Invite".
- Confirm by clicking "Resend Invite". A new email invitation will be sent.
Additional Notes:
- The "Manage Users" section is only available to Admins who have completed Identity Verification.
- Admins can manage other users, update permissions, and deactivate accounts, but cannot change email addresses.
- Viewers can access organization reports and details but cannot manage settings or users.
